Description:Exploded Schenkl fuse and a small iron shell fragment that came in an envelope with the follwing provenance information:

"Schenkl fuse (2 pieces) & piece of iron from shell found about 200 yards in front of (East) Red Fort, Spanish Fort"

Really cool item with the percussion fuse slider partially out of the fuse body providing a moment in time frozen from when this was used in battle in April 1865.
