Description:Another of the fuse wrenches I got from Jack Bell in Mansfield. ex Roger Bethke collection.
This is a real, original Bormann fuse wrench with a single slot. Both sides used these early on, but the US went for the reinforced "double slotted" Bormann fuses as the war progressed.
Unfortunately, Michael Adamson had some of these reproduced, along with some types of fuses. There are telltale signs on each separating the fakes from real and this one passes muster in all the right ways. Being out of Roger Bethke's collection, it also predates the reproducing that went on around 2000.
Hard-to-find wrench that is one of the rarer and more desirable items we've had to list in some time.
