Description:Distinctively shaped Hotchkiss time fuse adapter for use in case shot shells. The powder charge for these shells was in the very bottom underneath a pusher plate that propelled the shot out upon explosion. To reach the powder required not only this long0tubed fuse adapter, but also an iron extension tube through the round pusher plate. The tube of this one is a little bent from having been used in battle.
