Description:Confederate answer to the Union 2pc James or "West Point style" percussion fuse. These are distinguished by a solid anvil cap without a concave underside and a white metal slider with small loop wires to clamp the percussion cap in place. There is a casting flaw in the thread area on one side of the brass anvil cap, but ti could be made to go into a shell with not much effort.
