Description:More pieces from Pete George's lifetime collection. This is a very nice condition brass Hotchkiss fuse for the case shot shells. An iron tube would've connected it through the hole in the pusher plate to the powder cavity. The pusher plate was an ingenious design to "push" the case shot balls directionally through the nose of the shell.
