Description:This grouping is from a digger that found them together at the battle of Bean's Station in Tennessee. This town is located just north of I-81 about halfway between Knoxville and Kingsport which is on the Virginia border. For more info, see:

This grouping consists of a US Eagle Breast Plate and 6 eagle infantry buttons. The breast plate is in very good condition with a nice face showing good relief. There is one small period ding on the top that is shallow. The back has full lead with good white patina. There are no attachment hooks though you can see where the hooks were. The buttons all have the "I" on the shield and all have the shanks. On one of the buttons the back is loose but still in the face and doesn't fall out.
This is a nice little collection from a small hard to get battle.
