Description:Tow hook used to open artillery crates and remove packing as well as to bang in errant nails to the sabot straps. This one has a "US" stamped in the head. ex Don Williams collection. He had it on a relic board, the paint of which still shows on one side. I will try to remove this with lacquer thinner -- it should come off fairly easily.
