Description:A very nice Confederate buckle popular with the butternut infantry, this is a great dug example with nice provenance. As most do it has some minor waves but is basically flat with a small amount of body curve. The tongue looks native to the buckle and is firmly attached so I am pretty sure it was dug intact. The buckle has its natural dug patina. It measures 94mm x 63.5mm in size. This is a very good price for an intact Wishbone buckle.
