Description:In the 1880s the marketing geniuses at Duke's Tobacco came up with a campaign to include one of 50 different Civil War General or Admiral booklets with cigarette packs. It was very difficult to get each of the 50, but people literally died trying! After the campaign concluded, Duke's produced this album of all the cards and some additional pictures. These are super hard to find complete for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is that the individual pages sell on eBay and elsewhere for $20ea. That makes this a $1000+ album if broken up.

There is clearly some wear to the cover and binding of this album, but it is complete and in better condition than most I have seen.
