Description:Cool cross section of a Hotchkiss case shot shell. Shows the shot in the solid black, tar-based matrix. You can see the pusher plate below the fuse with a hole to allow the flame to pass through the powder chamber below. Base cup part is missing but all the most important and interesting parts are here.

This is the other half of a shell I sold a couple weeks ago. The lead sabot comes off so can either be set on a display stand to hold it in place, glued, or left as is.
