We will be at the Baltimore Antique Arms Show this coming weekend -- March 22-23. Because we have the heaviest inventory of anyone, they put us in the far back corner. Head straight for table Z24 and don't spend all your money before you get there. Odds are high that we will have more Civil War artillery projectiles in our one remote outpost than the rest of the show combined.

US eagle breastplate with a nice greenish patina. This note was rolled up and stuck in the hooks:

"(Fou)nd in Union army camp about 1200 yards behind USCT lines -- Blakeley October 14, 1979"

I only opened this note a few minutes ago and was pleased to see the reference to the US Colored Troops. Their lines were at the North end of the Fort Blakeley battlefield.
