We will be at the Baltimore Antique Arms Show this coming weekend -- March 22-23. Because we have the heaviest inventory of anyone, they put us in the far back corner. Head straight for table Z24 and don't spend all your money before you get there. Description:This is similar to the shell on Page 232 of D&G other than this one has the stamped wrought iron sabot.

This 20 pounder Parrott shell is absolutely exquisite. The iron is baby butt slick with a nice dark natural finish. It is just beautiful. The thick wrought iron sabot is stamped to fit the 5 grooves of the 20 pounder Parrott gun. The casting air vent sprue is clearly seen on the bottom with the chisel marks where it was removed. The inside of the shell is also super clean. I believe the iron is preserved with WD-40 or some type of oil like substance, it is not polyurethane.

Another nice thing about this shell is that the fuse screws removes. I'm pretty sure the one with it is not native to the shell and was battlefield found. It is the long west point style with the "W" embossed on the lip. If a different type of time adapter is desired I likely have one and can swap them out.

Words don't describe how nice this shell is. The pictures barely do.
