Description:One of the most popular shell types, this example of the Type-II common shell for the 3 inch Ordnance gun is in super condition. There is no pitting and there are traces of orange paint scattered over the surface. I think it is non-dug. The lead sabot has no white patina and has some marks on the lead like it might have been rolled around at Bannerman's Surplus or something. The fuse removes very easily and has green patina so it appears that it is a dug fuse added at some point. The powder cavity is perfectly clean and has been sprayed with WD-40 or oil to conserve that surface. This is just a great example that would be hard to upgrade.
Shell is inert, cleaned and coated.
