Description:This is a very neat display piece. It is a case shot Dyer shell that seems to have impacted and either cracked from impact or the exploding of the shell barely fragmented it. Ether way the result is a shell with a top and bottom that fits together. Sorry but I forgot to get a picture of them together and standing complete. If interested, I can provide that.

In the break you can clearly see the balls and yellow-ish matrix surrounding the powder cavity. The iron is in decent condition. The nice white sabot has 4 flame grooves and shows the ordnance guns rifling. This is a nice show-n-tell that isn't a saw cut shell and much less than an unbroken one.

Shell is inert and coated.
