Description:The 6 pounder balls were popular pre-American Civil War but began to be phased out by the start of the war for the bigger more effective guns. They were plentiful early in the war in the western theater.
Unlike the other one just listed this is a nice 6-lber solid shot. In the 2nd picture you can see the faint mold seam running from top to bottom just to the right of center. There is some light ground action but nothing deep. It is a good relic 6-lber.
Projectile is inert, cleaned and coated.
