Description:Very nice Hotchkiss nose with no flame grooves. It likely had the Hotchkiss percussion fuse based on the nose profile. The early pattern that took the white metal time adapter normally had a more rounded nose. The iron on this projectile is top notch. Threads are very good and with a little TLC could take a fuse. There is a very visible sprue mark on the bottom from casting.

Shell is inert, cleaned and coated.
