Description:3in Dyer canister faithfully rebuilt by multi award winning Civil War canister guru David Gotter. Bottom came from the Pete George collection and has remnants of the tin sabot straps. Top is a reproduction.

Dave keeps telling me the end is near for him rebuilding these, and this is the last Dyer canister I have. It is getting harder and harder to accumulate all the necessary parts and after the cost of them and labor, it is getting to the point of not being worth doing anymore, at lease not from an extrinsic standpoint...
