Description:This is the basic artillery round from Civil War. The 12-lber cannon was the work horse of the work used extensively from beginning to end by both sides as they were mobile but still packed a good punch. The solid shot like this one was use to disable the enemy cannon and knock holes in their entrenchments.

This example is in very good condition. It was found by Charles Buckalew behind little Kennesaw Mountain where it overshot during heavy shelling trying to disable the Confederate guns. Condition is very good with just a little scaling in a couple places that show it was dug.

Projectile is inert, cleaned and coated.
