Description:This is a rarity 10 5.3 inch fired Parrott Type II Bottle Top Bolt less sabot. This caliber is the same as the rifled 18-lber but this was fired from the 60-lber Parrott rifle which is a late war development. It lost the sabot when fired. This caliber rifle was used at Fort Fisher and did fire shells though none of these bolts have been found there....yet!

It has some type of filler like Bondo on the side where it impacted, bottom and top, hence the low price.
