So sad that morons are in charge of making these decisions when there are knowledgeable folks out there that will safely disarm without destroying the artifact. Like I said sometimes the idiots get through.

The Bomb Squad did return the pieces after the
disarming
and even gave them instructions on how to reassemble it...not a very good solution, but better than nothing.
