 Can anyone ID this bullet. Dug with some spencer shells and various Civil and Indian Wars relics.


Looks chewed. 2 rings and solid base. About 50-54 Cal. and weighs in at 222G or 339GN

It looks like a badly beaten up Spencer or perhaps a Joslyn for Spencer to me.

I didn't think spencers were solid.  I guess some are. This would be a .52 cal.

Every spencer I have dug has been solid. Thought they all were since they were a cased cartridge.
It's not always "Survival of the fitest" sometimes the idiots get through.
