To make it simpler to find:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Trans-Mississippi-Cosmopolitan-Type-II-Bullets-Prairie-Grove-Arkansas-Civil-War-/272491210721?hash=item3f71bde7e1:g:0LMAAOSw8gVX7Jc6

He has been trying to sell these as a group ever since Bill passed away, but it seems like the price may be more reasonable now.

Na still unreasonable. That price gets you one dropped and one fired bullet of your choosing.

Yes, that's nuts.  I didn't read the fine print and assumed it was for the whole batch.  He'll be trying to sell them a few more years then.  At one point he may even have come on this forum to hawk them.

Bill Ewing hooked me up with Bill Carter while he was in a nursing home and we each got a Hindman from him, helped by this fellow or some other buddy of Bill's, before Bill Carter passed.  We paid through the nose for them, but Bill E. was like "where are we going to get another?"  I am glad I got a Hindman, also from Prairie Grove, directly from old Bill Carter.

Neat bullets.  To tie artillery and bullets together for a bit, they look like a Bottlenose Parrot bolt with rings.  See:

for an example.
Best,
Carl
