90-bore Sharps
« on: November 18, 2016, 10:07:44 PM »
Just picked up this Sharps mould. It is the typical Sharps-pattern iron mould with "nippers" on the end. However, the cavity is for a 90-bore (.36 caliber) sporting rifle bullet. This is the first of these I have ever seen and even Dean was not sure he had seen one before. This is a pre-war bullet pattern but they have been recovered on many battlefields...many are found in Missouri.
