Never knew that and I bet not too many folks in SC do either!  Thanks Lamar for being so knowledgeable.  Among this bunch I think a Large is the new Small, or at least will be for my order of 12, 4 of which are now spoken for.

Here is an article that discusses this as a secession symbol as well as a subtle alternative (this guy stole my idea!):

Not sure this NYT article today really says much in the end, but it's related to this thread:

Many think the "consolidation" came about due to the MOC's poor financial condition. The MOC is in a hard to get to location ('cause the White House of the Confederacy is part of it, & is next door), the city of Richmond isn't going to help support anything with the word "Confederacy", and it hasn't been able to make enough money & attract enough donations. The Tredegar Museum is much more politically correct. The new "consolidated" museum will have a much broader focus - some of that could be good, but I think most of it will be PCism crammed down the throat (Exhibit 1 - the new Visitors Center in Gettysburg).

Back to flags - I have a framed Stars and Bars on my office wall. All those who know what it is appreciate it, those who would be offended don't know what it is.

Got you covered Dan.  I have 2 XXLs, 2XLs and 3 Ls left.  Smaller people can instead get one of these which are of course still for sale at this PC venue that won't sell Confederate adorned items:

Nothing against diversity mind you, just hypocrisy.

Guys, I have heard that the chicks dig these Big Red t-shirts because they show a rare combination of strength and brains!  Don't worry if those are both together not applicable in your individual cases, it's called marketing.

They should be here in a couple weeks.

I went to Walmart to buy myself a Confederate flag.

They informed me those were no longer for sale. When I asked for a possible source they suggested I try the black market. Say what?
