Hello,

I wanted to pass along the news that while he is improving Pete had a heart attack on Tuesday.  As far as I know he is doing ok.  Connie asked that we let everyone know he is improving.  He is expected to be out of the hospital early next week.  Please keep him in your thoughts.  If I learn more I'll pass it on.

Please pardon my brevity, more bed rest is needed.  Major chest pain put me on the floor late Tuesday night. Taken to nearest hospital's Emergency Room. Diagnosis was 100% blockage of a major coronary artery. Immediate heart surgery to do balloon-angioplasty and stent insertion. Got released after 3.5 days in Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.  Prognosis is good, based on miraculously minimal damage to the heart muscle itself, future use of preventative meds, and future lack of tobacco.  (My wife took me to an electronic-cigarette shop within an hour of my release from the hospital.)  My thanks to each of you for your get-well wishes, expressions of concern, and prayers.

Sunday edit note: I've modified this post a bit, for clarification, after getting my first full night of uninterrupted sleep since Monday.

Best regards,
Pete
