I have never belonged to any kind of forum but decided this is the one for me.  I have been digging since '64 and bullets and buttons are my favorites.  I hunt mostly in Jefferson County, WV.  I use M&M and T&T, Dean's four books and have seen a lot of bullets in almost fifty years of buzzing.  I will be posting some bullets that I need help identifying.  Looking forward to participating.

Welcome to our merry band of brothers (not too many sisters yet but we can always hope).  As a semi-reformed leadhead, I look forward to seeing your posts.  There are a lot of other folks who know their Civil War bullets here, and I think they'll be able to help you.

Welcome!  I have at best a modest bullet collection but enjoy learning about them and have managed to pick up a ton of info here.  There are a great deal of knowledgeable bullet people here so I'm sure you'll find answers to most, if not all, of your questions.
Best,
Carl

Welcome to the forum, WVGrayback. :)

Although civil war projectiles are my specialty-area, I do not consider myself an expert on the small-bore ones (bullets)... so I'm here to help with ID of relics which are not made of lead.

Regards,
Pete

Let me formally welcome you aboard. My interest lays in collection of bullets and emike is attempting to steer me towards some of the artillery pieces but I am a true leadhead and a die hard Trans-Mississippi leadhead . Welcome to the site and start posting away.

Welcome!  I'm a dug relic collector, love artillery and plates/buckles.
