Title: Off Topic: book
Post by: pipedreamer65 on September 23, 2019, 11:53:36 AM
Doe anyone know of a good book about the battle of the Alamo?  I am particularly looking for something scholarly, yet interesting to read without all the bullshyt myths and especially the 21st century revisionism.  Impossible request?  LMAO

I liked Duel of Eagles by Jeff Long. Published 1990.

I’ve got more books about the Alamo than anyone in their right mind should have and my favorite remains my first : 13 Days to Glory.  Given your criteria, it or A Time to Stand would be my two recommendations.  While both have thing that scholars disagree with, both are well researched for the time they were written and neither offer revisionist opinions.
