Title: Unusual Bormann Fuze
Post by: K. Sylvester on August 13, 2019, 08:07:23 PM
Hi all, I’m new around here.
A friend of mine recently found a nice little Bormann fuzed 6 pdr. I have never seen a Bormann fuze that looks like this one. Does anyone have any insight on this?

Thanks!
Keith

welcome to the forums !!           That Bormann fuze, is typically referred to as a 'high lip Bormann fuze" . And typically they are considered to be a CS invention. But, US ones were also made and are out there.    Refer to Chuck Jones book, page 26 to read about it.   David

I believe the size of the pipe hump and (what appears to be) two tick marks before the no. 1 position would indicate it is, in fact, the Confederate high lip variety. Nice find!
