Mini brass mold double round ball 3 1/4 " closed .288 in diameter .28 root or similar?
this is the real oddball( to me)
brass mold missing handles
round ball casts oval .260 side to side and .310 at seam, doesn't appear the casting is "offset". why is it "oval"
same mold, completely different size bullet
.395 x .700 .40 country or picket rifle
could someone explain what a country or picket rifle is? US militia carried? CS? not CW at all?
confused by the two sizes in same mold idea also

Neat little molds. Jim can give a much better response, but he is probably gorging himself on Easter dinner until he passes out today.
My understanding is the "picket" or "country" bullets are a catch all for all the personal long arms which we now call Kentucky rifles.

Agreed^^^ All encompassing term for civilian hunting ammunition.
