Description:Dug Schenkl combination fuse. The metal these were made of does not do well in the ground so this one is nicer than most -- you can still read some of the time numbers on the dial.

Col. Biemick surmised that this type was drilled out to accomodate a paper time fuse. I lean toward it having burnt through the hole in use.
