Description:Nice, 1862 dated wrapper for a pack of 10 paper time fuses. Early in the war, both sides used these types of fuses designed to burn a certain duration per inch and to be cut to the desired burn length. Period brown ink writing reads "10 paper fuzes 10 sec to an inch 1862"

This is just the wrapper -- the paper fuses are long gone and replaced with dowels inside so the package will hold its original shape. Wrapper is in nice condition.
