Description:Standard CS copper time fuse adapter for a spherical shell. It comes with a 8/10ths of an inch long red paper time fuse that fits perfectly in the adapter as shown in picture 3. This paper time fuse was cut to burn at just under 2.5 seconds because the red paper ones are 3 seconds per inch. These colored fuses were in use just prior to the war and both sides used these colored fuses early on in the Civil War.
