Description:Blade and grip have a nice dark patina from age. Marked US 1864. Made by Emerson & Silver of New Jersey. Scabbard has 2 dents which were probably put there purposefully to keep the blade from rattling much. Scabbard is missing the throat piece and, while period, may be a swap out replacement. As a result, I am listing this for a bargain price (previous owner paid $895 according to price tag still on it).
