Description:The M1840 "wristbreaker" holds a great deal of collector appeal for its fine lines and length of active service. First ordered in 1844, but none were delivered until 600 were in 1845. This one is marked 1845 which is pretty special because it would've had time to see use in the Mexican American War.

The scabbard has some dents but the saber fits in it tightly. The leather and wire handle wrap is missing, and could be replaced for $75, but I have left it original.
