Description:Eight Burnside cartridge casing stacked together with the top one being a removable complete cartridge. These cartridges were difficult to remove after firing so soldiers would push a spent casing onto the one in the breech block to remove it. These were dug in the 70s by Mark Swann on the hill just south of Granny White's Cabin on the Nashville, TN Battlefield and being a relatively early find are in excellent condition.
