The workhorse of the Union Army -- the venerable .58 Minie ball cartridge.

This one arrived wrapped in cellophane which is usually an ominous sign. After painstakingly unwrapping it, I discovered the only issue was a minor hole in the base. That is not unusual and easily plugged with a tiny drop of Elmer's Glue which disappears when it dries. You can see this spot in the dark area on the cartridge bottom in the photos. This one has been discounted accordingly and is a good deal.
