Relic shows are cancelling left and right, and one show promoter told me he didn't think there'd be any shows until next year. If that's the case, we'll sorely miss seeing our friends. Who knows what will happen, but we're still here operating in this new, online-only world. Getting things to where we can photograph and ship them is a little more challenging than usual, but fortunately some good people keep asking us to buy and sell their accumulations so we're plugging away! Please be patient and stay safe.

We continue to experience intermittent delivery of order emails, so it's wise to email us directly at cwbullet@hotmail.com and carl@sitherwood.com to be sure your order gets through. Thank you for your patience while we try to address this.

Location Recovered: Buffalo Bayou, Houston, TX

Description:We don't get to post too many trans Mississippi bullets as they are hard to get. This is a short partern of the desirable Dance and Park bullets. They are probably more well known as "Tom Green Enfields". They are constructed much like the Gardner bullet with a skirt that crimps the paper cartridge. They don't have the rings that a Gardner does but a flat band at the bottom.

This particular example is a short pattern 0.58 caliber. It was found at Buffalo Bayou just outside of Houston and was likely made at the Houston Ordnance Works. Due to the wet ground conditions there this example doesn't have much patina. It is in as dug condition still with some dirt attached. This is a chance to get one of these at a real reasonable price as the real white ones can sell in the upper 200's.
