Description:These picket style bullets with horizontal lines or rings near the base are called Pope bullets in McKee and Mason #s 56-62. This one is closest to #61 in size. We don't think they are all Pope bullets nowadays, and most are probabbly "Picket" bullets for Kentucky rifles just like their similar looking counterparts that have no rings. Ones with rings, lines or grooves are, however, much rarer than the smooth sided types.

This one came out of Dean Thomas' collection.
