Description:
Model 1855 Austrian Lorenz "compression" bullet. The large rings were designed to compress down like a modern plastic water bottle and in this way the bullet would expand upon firing to engage the rifling of the barrel. Very similar to the von Lenke bullet (MM487) and of the same family.
