This super rare bullet came from Dean Thomas' collection and I acquired it at the Reddings auction of his collection. A very nice example that is slightly smooshed at one angle from being condemned (due to their nasty habit of exploding during loading in the musket) and subsequently used in a case shot shell. The story of these interesting bullets is written on page 63 of McKee and Mason's bullet book.
