Description:
This is a nice little display of two battlefield dug Spencer cartridges. The one on the left experienced what happens to cartridges when the powder gets wet: it eats away the brass. The one on the right managed to stay dry and thus the cartridge is in very good condition. You rarely see them dug this way anymore. There is a little digger's kiss on the one on the right that knocked the patina off but it did not dig into the lead.
