Description:This is a typical Read-Parrott with the stamped wrought iron sabot and some sort of zinc fuse. The shell impacted on the nose and pushed the fuse inward. It is not corroded on top but I can't tell for sure that it is a zinc Parrott time adapter or Parrott percussion. It weighs 8.8 pounds so is a common shell and thus would use either fuse. The shell is uncleaned but coated. It should clean up quite well if run through electrolysis.
