Description:Developed specifically for the Parrott rifle this shell is seen on most battlefield fronts. This Parrott round shows real nice rifling on the brass ring sabot. The iron is really good and smooth with only the most minimal ground action. The fuse appears to be one of the pewter West Point style Parrott time adapters. it is the style that often has the "W" embossed on the top thought I can't make it out on this one. Much of the leather washer can still be seen under the lip of the fuse. What really makes this shell neat is that a triangular piece blow out at the base of the shell giving a window into the powder cavity. The sabot didn't get pulled and the shell stands upright. This is a super cool display piece.

Shell is naturally disarmed, cleaned and coated.
