Description:This is a really good example of the popular Schenkl shell. This is a 3 inch caliber for either the Ordnance rifle or the Parrott rifle. The iron is very good with minimal ground action. The Schenkl percussion fuse has been buffed to bring out the nice bright brass color. You can clearly read the patent date on the fuse face. The word "Schenkl" in "J P Schenkl" is pretty faint. ALso the shell was disarmed with a small hole drilled through the anvil cap of the fuse. A really good shell for the money.
Shell is disarmed, cleaned and coated.
