Description:This rarity 9 (Dickey and George 1993 Edition) projectile is one that rarely comes on the market. We've only had a few in all our years of doing this. MOst of the known ones were fired at Sessionville on the south side of Charleston. These were fired in the area where all the CS cannons that fired the Hardings were situated. I hunted there once a lot of years ago trying to find one but no luck. Most of the land is protected now.
This shell was run through electrolysis for two years by myself. I ran it through electrolysis with the one I have in my collection. The iron on it is pretty decent being smooth in spots but with some ground action spots. it weighs 18lbs 6oz so is very solid. The sabot is beautiful showing the 5 very crisp lands-n-grooves of the Parrott rifle. This is a very good projectile to pick up if you don't have one.
Projectile is cleaned, coated and inert.
