Looks like some promoters are going for it and trying to run their shows. Who knows if enough people will show up to make them worthwhile. I hope it works out but have concerns as we all do. Still figuring out which ones we'll attend this summer, but it looks like we'll try and do them. Stay tuned as the situation is fluid.

We continue to experience intermittent delivery of order emails, so it's wise to email us directly at and to be sure your order gets through. Thank you for your patience while we try to address this.

Description:For those who like shells as they come out of the ground here is a great pickup. The iron is so good that I won't want to clean it. The rust is more like a patina. It has everything you want in a Confederate shell. There is a perfect CS copper time fuse adapter with no dings from impact. Note that it is the style with the thick flange. You can see where the lathe lug was knocked off and it has distinctive mold seams down both sides f the shell. There is a nice lathe dimple on the base. The reason the fuse is perfect is that the shell appears to have hit butt first causing the sabot to curl inward with about 2.5" of the sabot chipping off. The remaining sabot has a nice patina and you can clearly see 4 of the 5 lands-n-grooves from the ordnance rifle that fired it. Were it not for landing on it's butt it would be a $500 shell.

While I don't think so there might be the slightest coating of polyurethane on the shell but I think it is just a clean shell. There is still a bit of dirt in the sabot grooves.

Shell is inert.
