Relic shows are cancelling left and right, and one show promoter told me he didn't think there'd be any shows until next year. If that's the case, we'll sorely miss seeing our friends. Who knows what will happen, but we're still here operating in this new, online-only world. Getting things to where we can photograph and ship them is a little more challenging than usual, but fortunately some good people keep asking us to buy and sell their accumulations so we're plugging away! Please be patient and stay safe.

We continue to experience intermittent delivery of order emails, so it's wise to email us directly at and to be sure your order gets through. Thank you for your patience while we try to address this.

Description:The Bormann fused 12-lber was one of the work horses of the war for both sides but especially the north. The south had issues making safe and reliable fuses. With 12-lber gun and howitzers aplenty these shells saw service in every corner of the war.

This shell is a decent example with good iron having light peppering. It could use a little TLC with a wire brush and a coat of polyurethane which would help the looks a good bit. I'd be glad to do that for the buyer if they wish or leave it natural as it is. This is a common shell with a weight of 7lb 15oz. The fuse is kind of present but that galvanic action while being in ground has caused a good bit (at least 70%) of it to flake away so that all that remains is a dished white disk and none of the face evident. This is why the excellent low price for a Bormann with no pitting.

Shell is disarmed. It is not cleaned or coated.
