Description:An often used projectile during the Rev War and War of 1812, the 6-lber was being phased out during the Civil War for the more effective 12-lber. But there was still plenty in use especially by the south and especially early in the war. Since I don't have any provenance on this I can't be sure if it is Civil War or earlier nor do I know if it is US, CS or British.
This shot has very good iron with only a little ground action and no pitting. There is only the faintest of a mold seam on it. It is 3.54" in diameter and weighs in at 5lb 15.1 oz. It is a nice shot and displays well.
Shot is hand cleaned and coated.
