Description:This is a real nice cannon ball I got from the digger in Jackson, MS. He found the ball where it was fired in the battle near Snyder's Bluff. The ball has a nice mold seam and a very clear sprue mark on the base opposite the fuse. Ball is likely a common shell since it has a weight of 17lb 9oz.
