Description:While the Parrott was a work horse of the war, this example is pretty hard to come by especially in good shape. This is Parrott round for the 20 Pounder Parrott rifle using the rifling pre-stamped wrought iron sabot. What makes this one hard to get is the Schenkl fuse used to detonate it. The Schenkl percussion fuse was one of the most effective percussion fuses available so they were tried in some Parrott shells. This fuse is in very good shape with nice patina and very nice patent stamping. The iron on this shell is very good as well.

Shell is inert, cleaned and coated.
